About Jenkins Construction
MUSIC MONTH Series

JENKINS CONSTRUCTION’S Music Month series at Ballard Park had its biggest turnout to date with 902 concert goers - almost twice as many as last year!

The series featured a nice range of music from 'outlaw country' to reggae. Johnny Cash tribute band, Folsom, opened the series on July 12th. Luis Mateos II impressive baritone voiced filled the quarry meadows with up tempo songs that audience members had fun dancing along to.

The Larry Brown Swinglance Orchestra made its second appearance at Ballard Park. The seventeen piece band of professional musicians played jazz, swing and big band music under the direction of band leader Don Chilton. Concert goers were treated to the sweet vocals of Carroll Venable and Jimmy Winters too.

Back for their 11th performance at Ballard Park, was The Toe Jam Puppet Band. Tom, Vinny & Chris had the 300+ children in the quarry meadow "moovin and groovin" to their unique songs on the morning of July 26th. Children (and adults) enjoyed climbing the stage to compete in hula hoop contests and dance like a monkey!

Local reggae legends, The Ravers, closed the series on the evening of July 26th with the largest concert crowd in several years - 415 people. The family-friendly reggae show drew many locals and was a fun evening of dancing and music.
