The 1978 American horror film classic, Halloween is set in the fictional Midwestern town of Haddonfield, Illinois. On Halloween night in 1963, a six year old Michael Myers murders his older sister by stabbing her with a kitchen knife. Fifteen years later he escapes from a psychiatric hospital, returns homes and stalks teenager Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis in her breakout role) and her friends. Michael’s psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis suspects Michael’s intentions and follows him to Haddonfield to prevent him from killing.

Movies will be screened in the quarry meadow which is best accessed through the Hazard Road entrance (use 1 Ocean Heights Road for GPS directions, the entrance is directly across the street).


Smoking is prohibited by law in Ballard Park.
Seating is on the grass.
Please allow 15 minutes to make your way down to the quarry meadow.
