If you have Christmas tree lights you'd like to get rid of please consider donating them to Friends of Ballard Park to use in the 7th Annual Illuminated Garden. We'll provide a tax receipt for your donation.
We're also looking for outdoor extension cords and lamps -- two foot or higher or interesting lamp shades for the event.
If you have lights you'd like to donate, feel free to drop them off at our office -- 226 Bellevue Avenue #10 Monday - Fridays from 10 to 5 pm. We can come by and pick them up from you too - call us at 619.3377 or e-mail us at info@ballardpark.org .

Funds raised from the Annual Appeal help to offset general operating expenses not covered by memberships, grants or corporate sponsorships but are necessary in order to host free, family-oriented events, offer educational programs and preserve Newport’s Only Nature Preserve.

CALL FOR ENTRIES
7th Annual Illuminated Garden
FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2012 6 to 9 pm
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2012 * 6 to 9 pm
Artists, teachers and students are invited to create their own illuminated sculpture for the 7th Annual Illuminated Garden.
ACCEPTED WORK
We are accepting up to 8 works for the exhibition.
CURATORIAL ISSUES
The 7th Annual Illuminated Garden takes place in a public park used by many in the community. The Illuminated Garden is most of all a family-friendly event.
LIABILITIES
Artists are responsible for delivering, installing and removing artwork from the exhibition.
INSTALLATION AND OPENING
Installation can take place on Thursday 2/23 and Friday 2/24. Installation must be completed by 5:00 pm on Friday 2/24.
