ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHERS
Through his work as a landscape designer, Frank Amaral has been taking photographs of the natural world for over 25 years. When he started Amaral Landscaping in 1981, his primary focus was on documenting the many gardens and landscapes of Newport, RI. Over time, his collection of images has grown to include thousands of slides and now digital photographs of both man made and natural landscapes and gardens of the world. His photos have been featured in slide presentations at Blithewold Mansion and Gardens, the Providence Flower Show, Rotch-Jones-Duff House and the Newport Library, and he has presented several lectures for the Learning Connection and Silver Sneakers Elderhostel Tours. Frank serves on the board of directors for Friends of Ballard Park, and has provided seasonal images for their website and yearly publications. His photographs have also been featured in Newport Life Magazine, in conjunction with articles that he and his wife, Elizabeth Stouffer, have written for publication.

Noah Jewell graduated from the University of Rhode Island majoring in Studio Art with a concentration in photography. He continues to take classes in print and web design at Rhode Island School of Design. Noah's images have been published in Boston and Cosmopolitan magazines. He is currently shooting photographs for the cookbook "New Orleans to Newport" by Michael Saxer with Favorite Recipes Press due out in August 2008.
